Alliant Energy has informed KROS of a power outage in the city of Calamus. Earlier today a vehicle hit a electrical pole knocking out power to the city. The spokesman indicated they will need to replace a power substation and hope to have the power restored by late this evening. They apologize for any inconvenience.
