The final funding pieces are coming together to help Clinton County apply for a ‘keep Iowa Beautiful Grant.’ (link included to help wanted ad for ‘coach’ to lead local effort.

The Clinton County Community Development Association has agreed to help provide part of the local match with ten-thousand dollars a year in each of the next five years.

The County Board has pledged a similar amount and all the communities are contributing some funds too.

The Keep Iowa Beautiful grant-if obtained- would help hire a ‘coach’ to work with each of the communities on projects that are important to that town and assist in grant preparation if needed.

Officials from the program presented the idea to apply for the grant to the County Supervisors several weeks ago.

The East Central Intergovernmental Association has posted the job opening for the Clinton County coach
