Local Unemployment Rate Drops

The local unemployment rate dropped from September to October in the latest report from the Iowa Workforce Development Agency.

The report shows the Clinton County unemployment rate in October at 3.1 percent.  That is down from September’s rate of 3.9 percent.

In October 2016 the rate was 4.6 percent

In Clinton the unemployment rate dropped from 4.3 percent in September to 3.4 percent in October.

The report shows a drop in the number considered in the workforce with those considered employed increasing and the number considered unemployed dropping.
