Candidates for Clinton County Sherriff

A second candidate for the Republican nomination to run for Clinton County Sheriff with the announcement of Clinton Police Department Assistant Chief Bill Greenwalt.

He issued a statement this week that he would be seeking the nomination.  Greenwalt has worked in the Clinton Police Department in various roles for over 30 years.

Earlier – 1968 Clinton High School graduate Danny Thomas announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the post.  He has worked in the Southwest U-S in various law enforcement roles.

Chief Deputy of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Steve Diesch also announced earlier he would seek the Democrat nomination to run for the post.

Candidates for County Offices can file nomination petitions between March 2nd and March 20th.
