Camanche City Officials Issue guidelines/suggestions on the city’s efforts to address the COVID-19 situation-includes new city proclamation

In an effort to limit potential exposure of staff to the COVID-19 virus, the following procedures for the City of Camanche are in effect:

City Hall remains open. We encourage patrons to use the drop box for payments, utilize the online capability, or phone in your debit / credit card transactions. We will be happy to mail a receipt if you need one. Please come to City Hall only if it is absolutely necessary. We are extending the pet license deadline to the end of April.

The Fire Department building is no longer open to the public. If you need assistance for building permits, please call ahead. Staff will meet you at the Police Department to handle those transactions in their lobby.

The Police Department lobby remains open.

Public Works is closed to the public. If you need assistance, please contact City Hall. We will continue to provide essential services. However, secondary services such as meter profiling will not be conducted at this time.

The Library is closed until further notice.

The City Council meeting scheduled for March 17, 2020 is still happening. A few non-essential items will be removed from the agenda.
