Local Unemployment Rates Rise

Jobless statistics from February to March from the Iowa Workforce Development Agency show job loss and more people considered unemployed in Clinton County.

The Clinton County unemployment rate in February was 4.1 percent.  That rose to 4.9 percent in March.  In March of 2019 the rate was 3.8 percent.

In the rate for the statistics for the Clinton County  the number of people considered unemployed rose by 150 while those considered employed dropped by 400.  The workforce also declined.

In the Clinton the unemployment rate rose from 4.1 percent in February to 5 percent in March.  That included an increase in those considered unemployed by 100 while those employed dropped by 200 and the workforce also declined.
