Grants To Help Clinton & Clinton County responses To The Health Pandemic (City receives $72,293 -incorrect amount included in earlier story)

Local governments have started to receive some federal funding to help pay the costs of activities to prevent, prepare for an respond toe coronavirus pandemic.

Congressman Dave Loebsack today announced the grants for Clinton and Clinton County rhru  Department of Justice’s (DOJ) FY20 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program.

Clinton County will receive $58,008 to support a broad range of activities.  Clinton is receiving $73,293 (corrected from earlier included amount) under the program

Specifically, funded projects or initiatives may include, but are not limited to: overtime, equipment (including law enforcement and medical personal protective equipment), hiring, supplies (such as gloves, masks, sanitizer), training, travel expenses (particularly related to the distribution of resources to the most impacted areas), and addressing the medical needs of inmates in state, local, and tribal prisons, jails, and detention centers.
