Unemployment Rate Drops

With fewer people considered unemployed with fewer employed and fewer people in the workforce the overall unemployment went down from April to May in the county and city.

The latest statistic from the Iowa Workforce Development Agency show the unemployment in Clinton County went from 12.9 percent in April to 11.9 percent in May.

In May of 2019 the county unemployment rate was 3.1 percent.

In Clinton the unemployment rate dropped from 14.4 percent in April to 13.4 percent in May.
