The utility cites nearly 87-million dollars in improvements across their eastern Iowa service territory-including Clinton from 2016 to 2022.

The Iowa American Water Company says the increase would increase the average monthly bill for a typical customer by $5.44  per month.  Company officials say this by the time this increase could be approved it would be four years since the last increase.
