November Started With Warm Weather

Before the cold weather arrived yesterday (Tuesday) the Clinton area tied a record high for November 10th.  Clinton Area Weather Observer Jim Blaess says it reached 73 degrees which tied the record set in 1949 for the date.

He says it also made the 8th day in a row the Clinton area had a high in the 70’s.  Blaess says that’s probably a record.

Blaess added that a high of 75 on November 6th was a record for the date-breaking the old mark of 74 set in 1916.

For a comparison, Blaess said on Veterans’ Day in 2019 there was just over 3 inches of snow and on November 12th it dropped to 2 degrees below zero.
