4 Seek Vacant Clinton City Council Spot

Four citizens have expressed interest in filling the vacant Second Ward Clinton City Council seat.

Cyara Peterson recently resigned from the post.  The council adopted a plan to appoint someone to the seat, but citizens could still petition for a special election.

By the Thursday afternoon deadline– the city received applications from Cody Seeley, Richard Sisneros, Hope Luce and Rick Petersen.

On the 26th the Council well meet to select applicants for interviews and the interview process.  There would be an expected special meeting on the 28th to conduct the interviews and then a special meeting on February 4th to approve an appointment.

The person selected would serve until the November election when the seat would be on the ballot to fill the seat for the two years remaining the term
