Update: Law Enforcement Continues to ask for Public’s Assistance (see Clinton Police Department Full Statement)

The Clinton Police Department issued the following statement concerning the investigation of a ‘violent crime’ at a local apartment complex including the recent search at ‘landfills’
Clinton, IOWA:  The Clinton Police Department (CPD) and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) continues to investigate the February 24, 2021 violent crime that occurred in the Gateway Apartment Complex, apartment #12.  All information and leads are being reviewed, vetted and followed through by law enforcement.  Searches are being conducted at a number of different locations to include residences, outbuildings, and landfills.

Law Enforcement continues to requests the public’s assistance locating Khalil Pugh and Ja’Kwane O’Brian Polidore.

If someone has information as to the location of POLIDORE or PUGH, they are encouraged to call Captain Davis at the Clinton Police Department at 563-243-1457 or Clinton County Crime Stoppers at 888-883-8015.

Relevant to this investigation, law enforcement does not believe the public is in immediate danger.

DCI and Clinton Police Department Seeks Public’s Assistance In Locating Persons of Interest.

Clinton, IOWA:  On Wednesday February 24, 2021, at approximately 10:20 AM, Clinton Police Department (CPD) was called to the Gateway Apartments, located in the 800 block of Gateway Avenue reference suspicious activity.  Upon arrival, they discovered evidence leading them to believe a violent crime occurred in building 847, apartment #12.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) was called to assist with the investigation.  Additionally, a Crime Scene Team (CST) from the Iowa Criminalistics Laboratory was called to process the scene. From the onset of the investigation, law enforcement has conducted several interviews and  has collected numerous items believed to be of evidentiary value.  Law Enforcement continues to maintain the scene and interviews are ongoing.

As part of the investigation, two individuals have been identified as persons of interest.  The Clinton Police Department and the DCI is requesting the public’s assistance with locating: Both are residents of Clinton
