ClintonText Message Alert Change (see city statement)

Starting on March 19, 2021, there will be a change to the City’s text message alert system. The number that text messages will now be coming from will be 563-500-1585. City text messages previously came from the number 36000.

For those that have already signed up to receive text message alerts, no action is needed other than noting messages coming from the new number.

For those wishing to sign up to receive text message alerts, text CLINTON5 to the number 563-500-1585 and reply Y to opt-in to the program.

Here are some reasons to get text alerts:

1. Know when your garbage and recycling will be delayed due to weather or a holiday.

2. Find out when a snow emergency has been declared (calendar parking becomes effective once a snow emergency is declared).

3. Be alerted to upcoming City Hall closures.

4. The information comes directly to you!
