Ombudsman’s report on 2019 traffic stop reports some mistakes were made-but position of the person involved not an influence (full report included)

A traffic stop in Clinton County involving an Assistant Jackson County Attorney has been scrutinized for a couple of years.  An independent review on whether the position of Amanda Lassance influenced the investigation has been completed.  That report showed the (from the report’s conclusion) “deputy appeared to take this call seriously. He acted professionally and he wrote a thorough report. I do not believe his decisions at the scene were influenced by Lassance’s title or her connections to law enforcement. I attribute his errors to a relative lack of experience on OWI stops and insufficient supervision and training, which are easily addressed moving forward.”
