Join ASAC for a Briefing on Marijuana and other Substance Use

Learn what substances are being used in electronic smoking devices (Juul, vape pens, etc.) by youth and how the devices are disguised by users and how to talk to your employees if they may be using substances while working.

What: Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) serves more than 20,000 individuals with prevention, treatment and recovery services in a five-county region of Benton, Clinton, Jackson, Jones and Linn. Our team:

·     Researches current substance use issues.

·     Partners with communities to develop strategies for prevention and intervention.

·     Educates and informs businesses, youth and communities.

·     Treats substance use and problem gambling.

·     Specializes in parenting and pregnant mothers and youth for residential treatment.

·     Supports individuals and families dealing with health issues related to substance use treatment and recovery.

ASAC experts will provide a short presentation and will open up for discussion.
