Another warm and dry month will be the weather report for November

Clinton Area Official Weather Observer Jim Blaess says the overall temperature was 40.9 degrees.  He says that’s 1.4 degrees above the normal (39.5 degrees) for November.

The highest temperature was recorded on the 7th and 8th when it was 67.  The coldest day was the 26th when it dropped to 14 degrees.

November 2021 will be the 7th driest November in the weather records to 1879 according to Blaess.  He says there was .30 inches of precipitation and that’s 1.82 inches below the normal (2.12 inches).  The driest November in the records is 1904 with .10 inches.

There was a trace of snow on the 12th, 14th and 18th according to Blaess with the normal snowfall at 1.6 inches.

For December, Blaess says there is an average of 1.82 inches of precipitation including 8.7 inches of snow.  There are also 3 days with zero or below temperatures.

Blaess adds that the average high on December 1st is 39 and low is 24 and those drop to averages of 30 and 15 be the end of the month.

Blaess did point out that starting on December 12th the daylight period of time starts to get longer with the sunset time slowly getting later.
