Clinton Police Investigation​

Date: Friday, APRIL 7, 2023

On April 7, 2023 at approx. 12:30 p.m., The Clinton Police Department, with the assistance of the Blackhawk Area Task Force conducted a search warrant at 416 7th Ave S, Apt A, Clinton, Clinton County, Iowa in reference to an ongoing robbery, narcotics and firearms investigations. As a result of the search warrant several firearms, narcotics and stolen property were recovered. As a result of the search warrant the following individual was arrested:
Caleb J. McManus
McManus was charged with
2 Counts Robbery 1st Degree Armed With A Dangerous Weapon – B Felony
3 Counts Fail To Affix Drug Tax Stamp – D Felony
1 Count Intent To Deliver Marijuana Under 50 Kg – D Felony
1 Count Persons Ineligible For Permit To Carry Weapons – Serious Misdemeanor
2 Counts Theft 4th Degree – Serious Misdemeanor

Criminal charges are merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Investigation into this incident continues by the Clinton Police Department and the Blackhawk Area Task Force.
