On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at approximately 02:10 A.M., members of the Clinton Police Department and Clinton Fire Department, were dispatched to the Wild Rose Casino, 777 Wild Rose Dr., in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a hotel room where two unresponsive subjects were located. Both unresponsive subjects were pronounced deceased.
An investigation into the discovery of the two deceased subjects at the Wild Rose Casino is being conducted by the Clinton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division. The preliminary investigation does not indicate any foul play or threat to the community.
The names of the two deceased subjects will be withheld pending notification of family members.
Assisting with the investigation is the Division of Criminal Investigation Gaming Enforcement and the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office.
