Camanche Warehouse Fire

At 00:06 hours Camanche fire Department was dispatched to 311 37° Avenue Greystone Warehouse Camanche for a warehouse on fire. The warehouse was full of plastic pallets. The Camanche Fire Department responded with 2 Engine Companies, 1 Tender, I ambulance, 1 command vehicle and 14 personnel. Clinton Fire provided Automatic aid with a Ladder truck and 4 personnel. Clinton Also provided a Tender and a Battalion Chief with 2 additional firefighters. Low Moor Fire Department assisted with 2 tenders and 6 firefighters. We arrived on scene to find moderate black smoke coming from inside the warehouse. The fire was brought under control in about 2 hours, Crews remained on scene for another 3 hours conducting overhaul and removing smoldering plastic pallets from the building The building is a total loss. The contents loss is valued at $1,000,000. There were no injuries. The owner was insured. The fire department was on scene for about 9’hours.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Camanche Fire Department.
