The Camanche School Board has selected Justin Shaffer as their next Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Justin Shaffer will be moving from being the Camanche Middle School Principal to becoming the Camanche Superintendent. Mr. Shaffer has served for 17 years in the Camanche School District as a teacher, coach, and principal. The Camanche School Board President, Travis Baker, stated, “It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce Justin Shaffer as the next Superintendent of the Camanche School District. Justin has proven to be a key leader in our district for several years as a teacher, Middle School Principal and Interim 5-12 Principal. The board looks forward to continuing our work together with Justin as our new Superintendent to ensure our students and staff are able to achieve all of their goals within our school district.” The School Board reviewed and discussed feedback from 40 Focus Group members who interviewed both of our top two candidates as they worked to reach this decision. Board President Travis Baker commented, “The Board greatly appreciates the time, effort and dedication of the 40 Focus Group members as they participated in our selection process and interviews. Their input was very insightful and played a major role in the Board’s selection of Mr. Shaffer as our new superintendent.” Mr. Shaffer will begin his duties at Camanche Community Schools on July 1, 2024.
