On March 8, 2024, at approximately 12:25 PM, the Clinton County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a report of
a bank robbery at the Delmar Branch of Clinton National Bank, 301 Western Ave, in Delmar, IA.
Deputies canvased the area and generated a suspect from video surveillance. The Iowa State Patrol stopped
the suspect vehicle in Eldridge, Iowa. A suspect has been arrested, and charges are pending.
Arrested: Jeffrey Brian Bettis, 37 years old, Knoxville, Iowa
The Clinton County Sheriffs Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Jackson County Sheriffs Office,
Dewitt Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Clinton County Attorney’s Office.
