Clinton Fire Department (CFD) units were dispatched to 318 North 4th Street, Hook’s Pub for a reported structure fire involving a second floor apartment. CFD responded with one ladder truck, two engines, three ambulances, and one command vehicle. CFD operated with 12 firefighters. Camanche Fire was dispatched for automatic aid with a RIT team. Public Works supplied barricades and Alliant Energy controlled utilities.
CFD arrived to find light smoke showing from Hook’s Pub, located at 318 North 4th Street at 0300 hours. Crews made an aggressive interior attack with multiple hose lines to extinguish the fire, which was knocked down within 15 minutes of arrival. There were multiple void spaces throughout the building, making finding all of the fire difficult. Crews remained on scene to find hot spots until 0500. The fire remains under investigation.
The Clinton Fire Department was assisted on scene by Clinton County Communications, Clinton Police Department, Camanche Fire Department, Clinton Public Works, and Alliant Energy. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported. No additional information is available at this time.
