Special Plan Commission Meeting

The City of Clinton will hold a special Plan Commission meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Eagle Point Lodge. Please note that the regular Plan Commission meeting scheduled for July 1, 2026, has been canceled due to no agenda items.

The purpose of this meeting is for the Plan Commission to review the proposed data center ordinance and provide a recommendation to the City Council. The meeting agenda, including the draft ordinance, will be posted next week to allow the public time to review the information in advance.

Role of the Plan Commission:

Helps decide where things go in the city — such as where houses, businesses, and factories can be built.
Reviews changes to those rules and provides recommendations to the City Council.
Reviews plans for new streets, and public projects and shares input before they are built.
Reviews maps of new subdivisions to ensure lots, streets, and layouts are planned properly.

Please note that the Plan Commission does not make final decisions on ordinances or zoning changes. Instead, it reviews information, discusses proposals, and makes recommendations to the City Council, which takes final action.

For questions, please contact the City of Clinton Engineering Department (563)244-3423.
