On Sunday, August 9, 2026, at approximately 4:43 p.m., officers with the Clinton Police Department responded to Kwik Star, 2321 Lincoln Way, regarding a report of shots fired.
Officers responded to the area and began investigating the incident. At this time, no injuries have been reported, and there is no known danger to the public.
As a result of the investigation, Andy Glen Simmons was charged with 708.6(1) Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon Intent. Candice Alma Simmons was charged with 719.3(1). Preventing apprehension, obstructing prosecution, or obstructing defense.
