Every election cycle, Grow Clinton County, the legislative partnership between Grow Clinton and DeWitt
Chamber & Development Corporation, hosts a candidate forum. This year’s forum is on Wednesday October 7, from 6pm-8pm. The forum is located at Clinton City Hall, located at 611 South 3rd Street and will be broadcasted live on the City of Clinton’s YouTube Page. “This year we are going before absentee voting because some constituents would ask for it. We hope this allows
for undecideds to have time to mail in ballots, register to vote, or further research for Election Day. The most important thing is to register to vote if you have not. We thank the candidates for making themselves available to answer questions about Clinton County’s future” says Angie Rheingans, President & CEO of DCDC.
The forum focuses on economic and community development. It is a moderated and structured discussion set to a timer. This ensures a broad array of questions are answered, and each race gets equally time to present their plans to serve Clinton County. “Election Day is November 3 this year. Absentee voting begins October 14. In Clinton County, absentee voting can be down through mail or in person with dates available to vote in the DeWitt Satellite Office. Please remember to register to vote. You can register even on Election Day, but if you do it before October 19, you can avoid some extra paperwork. As always please contact the Clinton County Auditor’s office to verify election details and voter registration details,” says Matthew Parbs, VP of Grow Clinton.
