It has been brought to our attention that there is a major phone service interruption affecting Clinton County at this time land line phones (wired phones from homes, business, etc) are not able to contact 9-1-1. Some of the non-emergency numbers for our local agencies may also be affected by this outage. Century Link is aware of the problem and is working to get the problem fixed. As of right now 9-1-1 calls from cellular phones are still getting through. Residents are encouraged to use a cell phone to reach 9-1-1 until this issue is resolved.
