Clinton City Hall Closed For Veterans’ Day/Statue Dedication Delayed/State Of City Address Planned

(official statements from City Hall on several events on November 11th) –

City Hall, Building and Neighborhood Services, and the Administrative offices at the Ericksen Community Center will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in observance of Veterans Day.  All phone calls will be returned on Thursday, November 12, 2020, when normal office hours will resume.

The activity area and gyms at the Ericksen Community Center will remain open on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (regular scheduled hours) and all programming at the Ericksen Community Center will take place as scheduled. The MTA Administrative offices will be open on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (regular scheduled hours).  All bus routes and para transit services will be operational on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. The Administrative offices at the Police Department will be open on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (regular scheduled hours).

Garbage, and recycling collection will NOT be delayed.  Collection will take place as scheduled on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Ribbon cutting for the Leonard Crunelle WII Statue was scheduled for 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 is being delayed.

Due to the rising number of positive COVID cases in our community, the ribbon cutting has been postponed until Memorial Day, May 31, 2021.

Mayor Maddasion will complete a State of the City address online on November 11, 2020 at 3:30 P.M. The State of the City address will be live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook Live and on the City’s Mediacom channel.

Due to COVID concerns the Clinton Amvets have decided to cancel the traditional Veterans Day Flag Retirement Ceremony.
