Whiteside County Natural Area Guardians is proud to announce the recipient of a $500 scholarship

The Scholarship Committee of the Whiteside County Natural Area Guardians is proud to announce that Jacob Pannell is the recipient of a $500 scholarship for the 2023-2024 school year.

Jake is the son of Ed and Susie Pannell of Fulton, Il. He is a 2020 graduate of Fulton High School and currently a student at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. He is pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and Conservation with a minor in Biology. He has been active in the UW-Platteville Sportsman’s Club, the Environmental Science Club and the Driftless Area Land Conservancy, serving on the Land Management Committee.

The Whiteside County Natural Area Guardians, a committee of the Soil and Water Conservation District, awards scholarship annually to college students with interests in agriculture, the environment and conservation.
