The City Council approved the fifth honorary street name request at the August 8, 2023 Council meeting. The application was for Todd Stone.
Officer Todd Stone died in the line of duty on January 27, 1993 while involved in a vehicle pursuit. Officer Stone’s accident occurred in the 1600 block of Camanche Avenue. Officer Stone had served with the Clinton Police Department for 5 years. He was survived by his wife, 3-year-old daughter, and 1-month-son.
Ribbon cutting for the placement of the fifth Honorary Street Name is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the site. Parking will be available to the southwest of 17th Place (between Camanche Avenue and Liberty Avenue).
