The Iowa Department of Transportation previously advised that they will be conducting a bridge deck overlay project on the Highway 136 bridge between Clinton, Iowa, and Fulton, Illinois. The bridge was initially going to be closed to all traffic from May 12, 2025 through September 30, 2025.
The Iowa Department of Transportation has advised that the closure has been delayed until June of 2025 as a result of contractor delay. The Iowa Department of Transportation will issue a press release on the exact start date once it is determined. The City will share that information upon receipt of the same.
