The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre Presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Clinton, Iowa – The Clinton Area Showboat Theatre is thrilled to present the beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, opening June 26 and running through July 6, 2025.

This dazzling production stars Dylan Renart as “Joseph”, bringing heart and charisma to the iconic dreamer in his coat of many colors. Grace Avery joins him as the dynamic “Narrator”, guiding audiences through Joseph’s epic journey with charm and vocal power.

Returning to the Showboat stage is Ryan Scoble, taking on the dual roles of “Reuben” and “Potiphar”, showcasing his versatility and flair. Also returning is audience favorite Kait Auburn, fresh off her standout performance as “Morticia” in this season’s The Addams Family, bringing her captivating presence to this colorful new story. At the helm is Jenna Shoppe, who serves as both director and choreographer. Shoppe’s high-energy choreography and imaginative staging were seen in last season’s Rock of Ages and this year’s The Addams Family, promising an exciting experience for audiences of all ages.

Adding a special community touch, this production will also feature a children’s choir made up of talented young performers from the Clinton area. Their voices will bring an extra layer of warmth and joy to this already heart-filled show, highlighting the theatre’s commitment to engaging and nurturing local talent. Filled with unforgettable music, lively dancing, and a timeless message of hope and perseverance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a perfect summer event for the whole family.
