Shooting Investigation – Clinton, Iowa

On the evening of September 29, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Clinton Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 2nd Avenue South for a report of a shooting. Initial responding officers arrived on scene and located one individual at a residence who had sustained a non-life threatening injury.

Emergency medical services provided immediate care and transported the individual to Mercy One Medical Center.
Preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation occurred between individuals known to each other.
Based on the evidence obtained so far, authorities do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.

Currently, the investigation remains active. No arrests have been made, and no further information is being released at this time.
