Vehicle Accident

On October 16th, 2025 at 12:20 p.m., Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Hwy 61 near Hwy 136 in rural Delmar. The initial report indicated a person was on the highway running in traffic and was struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, a male was in the southbound lane unconscious. The male was transported to Jackson County hospital and then flown to The University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by, Jackson County Sheriff’s, Iowa State Patrol, and Delmar Fire and Rescue.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
