Clinton Fire Department units were dispatched to UFP Technologies, 1521 Windsor Drive for a structure fire. CFD responded with thirteen firefighters in two ladder trucks, one engine, three ambulances, and a command vehicle. Automatic aid from Camanche Fire responded with an engine and four personnel for a RIT. Crews arrived to find a single-story commercial structure with light smoke showing from the exterior. The building had been evacuated before arrival of fire department units.
Crews were able to locate a fire above some of the manufacturing equipment at the ceiling level. The sprinkler system had activated and was keeping the fire in check. Crews were able to safely extinguish all remaining fire and ensure no additional hazards were present. The scene was under control within an hour and crews remained on scene for nearly two hours. An investigation is being conducted. No other information is available at this time. Crews were assisted on scene by the Clinton Police Department, Clinton County Communications, and Camanche Fire Department.
