Appliance Recycling / Demanufacturing Process Change

The Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency has taken refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances since the 1990s. Because of a growing trend of people leaving food in these appliances, CCASWA will now require that the doors be taken off of the refrigerators (all sizes) and freezers (all sizes) BEFORE disposing of these items at the solid waste agency. This process change is being done to prove that food items are no longer present inside of these appliances. Appliances with food items left inside will no longer be accepted. No exceptions. These changes are immediate.

For more information regarding appliance recycling / demanufacturing or any other programs CCASWA offers please call 563-243-4749 or visit www.ccaswa.com.
