Shooting Investigation *UPDATE*

Shooting Investigation – Clinton, Iowa
*****UPDATE*****

On February 17, 2026, at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers from the Clinton Police Department and personnel from the Clinton Fire Department responded to a reported gunshot wound in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue N. in Clinton, Iowa. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services provided immediate care and transported the individual to MercyOne Medical Center. The injuries were fatal.

Brady Newsom has been identified as the subject who was shot and died because of his injuries. Julius Graham and Noah Pruett have been identified and charged with crimes related to the death.
